We follow fashion for various reasons, depending on our life style, our personality and how we express ourself. I am not one to completely subscribe to fashion trends, but I do like to scope the show’s and trend forecast for some inspiration when creating my seasonal wardrobe.
It seems that Spring 2018 wasn’t about hemlines or prints, but of diversity, acceptance, freedom ,and empowerment. How Joyful is that?! The refreshing message reflected Authentic Self Expression; so Joyful!
The themes that caught my eye and mostly stood out for me were of Rainbow Bright, Disco Revival, Scuba Savvy, Floral Cornucopia, Blazer Smart, Bustier Sensual and Sculpted Couture.
We are well aware that fashion is always repeated throughout history. I’m sure that as you check out the 2018 trends, you’ll remember wearing something of resemblance in the past. With the conscious effort to recycle and help save our planet, why not resurrect something you already own or check out vintage stores for some of these fashion trends and be creative with how you build them into your wardrobe? See my guide on Vintage Shopping for a directory and how to shop Vintage.
Have fun this Spring and choose pieces that highlight your authentic expression while making a conscious effort to give an oldie a new life.
