On Chakra’s

The Sanskrit word Chakra literally translates to wheel or disk. In yoga, meditation, and Ayurveda, this term refers to wheels of energy throughout the body.
The seven chakras are the centers in our bodies in which energy flows through. To visualize a chakra in the body, imagine a swirling wheel of energy where matter and consciousness meet. This invisible energy, called Prana, is vital life force, which keeps us vibrant, healthy, and alive.

The Chakras are discs of energy and information that reside deep in the body. They act as receptors, assimilators and transmitters of life force energies. Our chakras, as core centers, form a vast and detailed coordinating network of the mind/body system. The information contained in thoughts and emotions, as well as actions and events, move through these energetic doorways into the body. There is a physiological response to the information that they receive.

In addition, the seven chakras are directly linked to the seven major glands of the endocrine system. The endocrine system regulates every physiological process that occurs in the body. The chakras, therefore, are the direct link between thoughts or emotions and their effect on our biology.

Blocked energy in our seven chakras can often lead to illness, so it’s important to understand what each chakra represents and what we can do to keep this energy flowing freely.
Chakra Balancing brings balance, harmony and clarity to the chakras.

Think of your six bodily chakras stacked up like a sort of pyramid. With the lowest one, your first chakra creating the wide and heavy base of the pyramid, and the highest one in your body, your sixth chakra, representing the highest tip of the pyramid. It’s light and airy and easily mutable, while the first chakra is dense and heavy and more difficult to change.

The Importance of the Main Chakras in the Body
These swirling wheels of energy correspond to massive nerve centers in the body. Each of the main chakras contains bundles of nerves and major organs as well as our psychological, emotional, and spiritual states of being. Since everything is moving, it’s essential that our main chakras stay open, aligned, and fluid. If there is a blockage, energy cannot flow. For example when you have a physical issue, it creates weakness in your emotional behavior. Energy has to go somewhere. When we release it from the body, it can undo any tightness, stiffness, or malfunction of that area, as well as bring our emotional state of mind back into balance. This chakra mind-body balance further proves that the mind is intimately connected to the body, and so if we hold on to certain emotions, we restrict ourselves physically.Chakra’s and color:

Each of your chakras is vibrating at a particular frequency and responds to different vibrations (or wavelengths) of light.Since mind, body, soul, and spirit are intimately connected, awareness of an imbalance in one area will help bring the others back into balance.
Balancing your chakras is crucial when you’re looking to live in the Field of Love (and tap into unlimited possibilities) on a daily basis. This balance helps you focus on love, abundance, limitless potential and your ability to manifest. The peace, calm and love that results when your chakras are balanced makes all things possible, because you’re able to live and access your spiritual energy in physical form. Chakras that are out of balance also create stress in the body, which can compromise your health.

There are an abundant of modalities in which we can balance and heal our chakras such as with crystals, reiki, accupuncture, yoga, meditation, cranial therapy and a long list that goes on. We will explore these later but lets first start with bringing awareness to which of your chakras are out of balance in order to align them.
