The kitchen is a special place in all cultures around the world.
The best family traditions often start in the kitchen. It is the pathway to our well being and the channel for a fulfilled soul.
I was brought up with cooking as a manifestation of passion rather than a mere necessity. My grandmother and mother both took so much pride in their kitchen, and cooking was the vehicle in which they demonstrated love.
I continue the tradition with my two daughters who both love to cook and bake.
Our kitchen is the heart of our home. It’s a place brimming with life, where my family congregate to gather to cook,and bake to eat, drink,, chat and catch up. It’s where the girls grew up doing homework and still do.
Food is the universal language of well being and sustains life. With that awareness we love to create healthy eats that are both delicious and healthy and use creative expression with presentation.
Here is a salad my daughter Sonia and I created spontaneously using seasonal ingredients and have incredible macro nutrients and ingredients to ensure the sufficient required nutrients were all included.
Base of salad:
Radicchio sliced thin
Cubed : Butternut squash Sweet potatoes beets all roasted with Olive oil and sprinkled thyme
Canelli Beans with sprinkled Italian parsley
Sunny Side Up Organic Eggs
1 garlic clove, minced.
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard.
1/3 cup raw apple cider vinegar.
4 tablespoons fresh lemon juic.
1-2 tablespoons raw honey, as needed for sweetness.
1/2 cup extra-virgin olive oil.
Sea salt and pepper, to taste.
Layer the Salad with the base of the salad and then the other ingredients on top, dress the salad and right before ready to serve place the eggs on top
